Start our day at Masada, built by Herod, defended by the Jewish Zealots and captured by the Romans after a three year siege.
You cannot leave the Dead Sea without taking a memorable dip in its salty,
buoyant and healing waters where you cannot sink and purchasing the famous Ahava natural cosmetics.
Finally you will stop at Qumran, perhaps home of the Essenes, and see where many of the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.

Above and to the east of the Western Wall is the magnificent Dome of the Rock – the third holiest place in Islam. We will explore the southern excavation at the Davidson center.

Travel through the neighborhoods of early and modern Jerusalem, drive by the Knesset, the Israeli Parliament, and stop to see the unique Menorah with the biblical emblems. passed the Supreme Court and the Government offices and visit Yad Vashem –Museum with a memorial to the victims of the Holocaust, with impressive architecture and memorial halls.

Pilgrims

We will start our tour with an amazing panoramic view of the Temple Mount from Mount of Olives, where Jesus overlooked the city two thousand years ago.

Then to the Garden of Gethsemane, where he was betrayed by Judas.

Enter the Old City to visit the holy sight for the Jews, the Western Wall, where Jews over the centuries have wept for the Temple which was destroyed by the Romans.

Continue to the Via Dolorosa, which commemorates the path which Jesus walked bearing the cross, ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where according to the tradition Jesus was crucified, buried and resurrected.

Continue along the main Byzantine street, the Cardo, and exit the Old City through the Zion Gate.

Visit the traditional site of the King David’s Tomb, the Room of the Last Supper and the Dormition abbey. Continue to the modern city to visit Yad VaShem, the Holocaust Museum, then to the village Ein Karem where John the Baptist was born
